ABOUT                                                                              o ¿desde dónde hago?

I was born in the city of Temuco, in Southern Chile, and have become a multifaceted performer and educator with extensive training and experience in the performing arts. I earned an MEd in Diversity and Inclusion (2023), a BA in Secondary Teaching in Performing Arts (2020), and a BA in Acting with specializations in Body Practice-Studies and Theatre Directing (2019) from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.

Since 2021, I have served as a drama teacher at The Grange School in Santiago, Chile, where I have been instrumental in delivering A Level and IGCSE programmes. My teaching repertoire includes movement and acting workshops, physical awareness workshops, intersectionality and diversity courses, and interdisciplinary creative practices. I have served as an Assistant Voice Professor at PUC.

In 2022, I became the first openly transgender teacher to go through a gender transition process within a private elite school in Chile.

As a performer, I have starred in film productions such as  “Antes de que te vayas” (2021), and “Austral Fever” (2018), which was featured at the Venice International Film Festival. In theater, I have worked under the direction of notable figures like Ana Luz Ormazábal in “Pam Berry” (2022-2024), Elizabeth Rodríguez in “So… now it’s then” (2019), MAREA (2019), and with María José Contreras in SUELO (2016) and #PENDER (2015).

My research efforts have led me to present on the Agency of the Binary Gender Norm at the 6th Congreso Interdisciplinario de Investigación en Educación in Chile this  October, and to present my master’s thesis-performance at the SIEF Congress in Brno, Czech Republic (2023), which was also chosen to become part of the Gender and Education panel at the European Congress of Educational Research in Glasgow, Scotland. I have also developed research for the film “Somos una Ola” with playwright Manuela Infante and director Sebastián Lelio.

As a director, I have helmed projects such as “Action is Overtaken” (2021), “Divas” (2019), and “Elektra” (2017), demonstrating my creative vision and leadership in the performing arts.

My interests range from performance research and experimentation to other artistic disciplines, humanities, and social sciences, including posthumanist and transfeminist approaches, always grounding my search in a situated and embodied perspective. I am fluent in Finnish, Spanish, and English, with basic proficiency in Swedish, French, and Italian, allowing me to adapt to diverse cultures. My training in opera singing (2005-2016) and practice of contemporary dance with masters like Elizabeth Rodríguez, and Alexandra Mabes add depth to my artistic practice, transforming me into a dynamic entanglement of influences and affects force in the performing arts community.
